Women Grow Graton Fund
The Women Grow Graton Fund empowers women in the Graton community by combining hands-on landscaping training with paid employment and long-term workforce development. Participants gain marketable skills, earn wages, and build confidence while directly improving two vital public spaces: Graton Town Square and Graton Green.
The Women Grow Graton Fund will pay participants for all training and work hours.
Mission
To create equitable pathways to economic stability for women in Graton through paid, hands-on training in landscaping, land stewardship, and small-business/vocational skills, while beautifying and maintaining shared public spaces.
Vision
A Graton where every woman has a paid, respected path into skilled trades, and where the town’s public spaces reflect the hands that built them.
Skills & Training
Provide hands-on instruction in landscaping, irrigation, tool safety, and basic land maintenance.
Paid Employment
Ensure every training hour is compensated.
Workforce Readiness
Build transferable skills such as English-language jobsite vocabulary, safety certification, resume-building, and financial literacy.
Community Beautification
Deliver visible, sustained improvements to Graton Town Square and Graton Green maintance.
Economic Stability
Create a track record of paid work experience and referrals that support participants’ long-term employment or entrepreneurship.
Community Ownership
Foster pride and connection between participants and the public spaces they help build.
Graton Day Labor Center (CLG)
Participant recruitment, wraparound support services, wage administration, connection to CLG’s existing worker network and trust within the community, program coordination.
Promoting the program through newsletters, social media, websites, and community events.
Supporting fundraising efforts by sponsoring events, making financial contributions, providing in-kind donations, or connecting the program with potential funders.
Graton Community Services District (GCSD)
Site access and permissions for Town Square and Graton Green, insurance/liability.
Promoting the program through newsletters, social media, websites, and community events.
REVillage
Supporting fundraising efforts by sponsoring events, making financial contributions, providing in-kind donations, or connecting the program with potential funders.
